Making Tax Digital
Acc-Unique Solutions are now processing vat returns for Making Tax Digital (MTD). On 1st April 2019 Making Tax Digital became live. Many VAT registered businesses with an annual turnover above the VAT threshold (currently £85,000) now need to keep digital records. Organisations that operate as trusts, ‘not for profit’, not set up as a company, VAT divisions, VAT groups, local authorities, public corporations, traders based overseas, those required to make payments on account and annual accounting scheme users do not have to comply with MTD requirements until October 2019. MTD enabled accounting software, such as Sage 50 Cloud, will be compulsory for VAT recording and submission purposes. However if you prefer to use Excel spreadsheets to record your vat transactions you can purchase bridging software.
